The Program Application Lead will work in tandem with the Program Technical Lead with a core focus being working with the Applications Services Team.
This role is hands-on and proactively and holistically leads the translation of project delivery into technical work packages that can be reviewed and delivered by the Applications Services Team. The role also develops and maintains a 12 month forward-facing plan for all technical works anticipated by the same delivery teams.
This role is based in Belmont on a 2 year fixed term basis with the option to extend for an additional year.
What you’ll do:
Create and maintain an accurate plan of anticipated application and integration changes required over the next 12 months and review this regularly with all impacted Applications Services, Digital Operations (BAU) and Managed Service Provider IT Teams so that BAU Operations and MSP resources can be planned and allocated to meet wider project milestones
Present and review the above 12 month plan with teams outside Digital but technology dependant (eg: Business Intelligence, PMO, State Operations Centre)
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to their broader Project Teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions
Be the escalation for the resolution of identified issues and blockers and drive all parties to overcome these
Understand the project schedule, business milestones and the technology changes needing to be aligned and delivered
Works directly with Applications Services and Business Intelligence to define project technology changes required and corresponding Implementation Plans.
Agree applications and integration skills and timelines needed and secure appropriate resourcing
Agree data migration skills and timelines needed and secure appropriate resourcing
Track progress to completion so they remain aligned to wider project and business outcomes
Lead technical changes through approvals (Design Review Board, Chang Advisory Board) and support technical implementations as required. o Lead post-implementation verification and validation and their associated warranty / hypercare periods to Lead completion of all Transition to Support activities so that solutions can be handed over to appropriate support models (Digital, Business, 3rd Party etc) as available at the time of handover
The required qualifications
Experience in working with project, business and technical resources (internal and external) to translate business and technology outcomes into clear, actionable technology changes
Experience in delivering both simple and complex technical changes within short and long term timelines and maturing process and controls.
Experience developing technology implementation roadmaps and transition from on-prem apps to cloud (SaaS)
Experience in working across a range of applications and integration environments
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Qualification and/or certification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (Desirable)
Certifications in project management or technology delivery such as PRINCE2, PMBOK (desirable)
