**Position Overview**

As an Environmental Coordinator for Kiewit, you will provide expertise, implement policies and procedures, ensure compliance, supervise efforts on construction projects, and mentor/develop other employees to support environmental functions at both the project and corporate level.

**District Overview**

Kiewit’s Central District is one of our largest infrastructure districts specializing in heavy civil, structural concrete/bridge, water/wastewater, and transportation projects. We self-perform work such as mass grading, drainage, paving, utility and more - so be ready to get your hands dirty! While headquartered in Denver, Colorado, the majority of our work is concentrated in the Central and South-Central regions of the United States. We are looking for people committed to the construction industry rather than design.

**Location**

This person will support a project in Memphis, TN initially. After completion of the project in a few years, must be willing to relocate within Central District states (TN, KY, CO, MN, NM, NE) as needed. This position is a full-time field project position.

**Responsibilities**

+ Implement programs and procedures to assure the compliance of the site with applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

+ Supervise job environmental processes and address any concerns at the job level.

+ Assist supervisors, managers, and others in obtaining and maintaining environmental permits.

+ Oversee contractual and regulatory compliance requirements onsite daily.

+ Develop and implement environmental training programs.

+ Manage air monitoring program and complete regular reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) to client and regulatory agencies.

**Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental sciences, or related field.

+ At least 1 year of demonstrated work experience related to the areas of responsibility for environmental compliance within the construction industry.

+ Major heavy civil infrastructure and/or transportation construction projects or similar is preferred.

+ Working knowledge of environmental codes, standards, and compliance.

+ Proficient in MS Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) and other relevant software systems.

+ Strong work ethic and professional demeanor.

+ Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.

+ Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

+ Must be team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.
