PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

The Regional Sales Manager will oversee and lead the activities of the Sales Department. The ideal candidate will prospect and close sales leads to help generate revenue for the company. They will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the sales strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides leadership to the sales team.

Assist with the development and execution of company's sales strategies.

Motivates and encourages sales team to ensure respective DC's quotas are met.

Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.

Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.

Works closely with distribution center general manager for the business development.

Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs.

Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.

Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.

Assist with the preparation of sales budget and monitor expenses.

Acts as company representative at trade association meetings.

Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.

Ability to travel to meet with various vendors and customers.

Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Ability to expand and develop the business.

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING: Bachelor's degree in business, Business Administration, or related field

A comparable record of sales leadership experience required.

At least five years of food and beverage industry sales experience preferred.
