This can be a remote position; the selected candidate can reside and perform the work from anywhere within the United States.

GM is undergoing a major transformation to reach our vision of a world with zero crashes, zero emissions and zero congestion. Our Global Talent Acquisition (GTA) team is influencing the forefront of this work by seeking innovative individuals to join our team and help reach our mission.

The Talent Content Strategist will will play a pivotal role in shaping our employer brand and attracting top talent. You'll collaborate closely with our marketing, communications, and talent acquisition teams to create compelling content that resonates with potential candidates across over a dozen talent touchpoints & channels. Your work will directly impact our ability to attract, engage, and retain exceptional individuals who align with our company culture and values.

Responsibilities:

Content Strategy:

Develop and execute content strategies that align with our employer brand and recruitment goals.

Create compelling campaigns targeting our key talent personas (manufacturing, tech, engineering, corporate staff and early career talent).

Maintain a content calendar and plan for various channels (website, social media, email campaigns, etc.).

Source employee stories from internal communications initiatives to publish across our channel mix.

Leverage photography and video assets.

Visual Design & Video

Source and create original, branded assets to deploy across our various channels and live activations

Record and edit video content featuring employee stories

Capture photography featuring employees, GM facilities, and events for distribution across our talent touchpoints.

Copywriting:

Craft engaging and persuasive copy for job descriptions, career pages, social media posts, and recruitment materials.

Collaborate with designers to ensure consistent messaging across visual and written content.

Create and optimize careers website content for SEO to enhance visibility and reach.

Support email marketing/CRM strategy with campaign copy.

Employer Branding:

Contribute to the development of our employer value proposition (EVP).

Tell authentic stories about our company culture, employee experiences, and career growth opportunities.

Create compelling narratives that differentiate us from competitors.

Collaboration:

Work closely with internal stakeholders, including recruiters, hiring managers, and leadership.

Work cross-collaboratively with communications, brand, marketing, and other business units to create and distribute content.

Collaborate with external agencies or freelancers as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.

Proven track record in content strategy, copywriting, and employer branding.

Graphic design and video editing capability.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Familiarity with recruitment marketing tools and platforms preferred.

Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
