E-commerce's Governance and Experience is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators. We are looking for Program Manager to join our team to drive improvements to our funds control program.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement fund control policies and procedures that align with the marketplace's strategic goals and comply with financial and legal regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the seller experience related to fund control, including programs for reserves, settlement, and funds holds.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, Risk Control, and Customer Service, to address seller inquiries related to fund control and mitigate capital loss.
- Lead project teams across commercial, compliance, operation and technical teams to define and scope the necessary tools and workflows to be developed.
- Build incentives into fund control strategies to improve seller performance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes that may impact the marketplace's fund control governance.
- Co-develop the necessary protections, guardrails, policies, and operations for our fund control strategies.
- Monitor, analyze and own key performance indicators such as capital loss, aging of funds held, and effectiveness of incentive programs.
- Work to promote transparency and understanding of policies, including assessing seller plans of action in response to enforcement actions
- Act as an escalation point of contact and manage internal communications on fund control issues
- Conduct data analysis on fund control trends for weekly/monthly meetings
- Business travel may be required
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- With 5 years of experience in financial management, funds control, or related roles within the e-commerce industry.
- Track record of strong project delivery, negotiations and relationship management along with deep analytical acumen.
- Familiar with E-commerce compliance requirements and internet governance management, with a certain level of business sensitivity and risk awareness.
- Strong management capabilities and getting things done themselves. Be an experienced team player who is motivated by an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the technical aspects of eCommerce platforms, including integration with payment gateways and financial systems.
- Advanced degree or professional certification in finance or a related field.
