About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Medical Affairs to lead the design and implementation of the Medical Affairs strategy and to establish and manage the Medical Affairs organization. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the transition of the company to a commercial entity, with a focus on filling medical product data gaps in rare diseases. Key responsibilities include building Medical Affairs leadership, overseeing the Medical Affairs team, providing medical and clinical expertise to both internal and external stakeholders, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment in brand strategy and compliance. The role also involves developing and managing key relationships, including KOLs, and contributing to the development and execution of clinical studies.Applicants for the Vice President of Medical Affairs position at the company should hold an MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent degree, with a minimum of 15 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including at least 8 years' in leadership roles within Medical Affairs. Experience in US and ex-US product launches, particularly in the areas of pulmonary fibrosis and rare diseases, is highly valued. The role requires a proven track record of successful launches, strong writing and reviewing skills, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key opinion leaders. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a dynamic leadership style, and the ability to manage a team in a rapidly changing, competitive environment.
