Job Summary:
The Vice President of Release of Information will lead the release of information (ROI) operations, ensuring the highest standards of compliance, efficiency, and customer service. This executive role involves strategic management of the ROI department, oversight of profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities, and the implementation of advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of health information management, preferably with an RHIA certification, and a proven track record in managing large-scale ROI operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategic plan for the ROI department, aligning with the overall goals and objectives of the company.
P&L Management: Oversee the financial performance of the ROI operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to ensure profitability and cost-efficiency.
Operational Excellence: Lead the ROI team to deliver high-quality services, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, particularly HIPAA.
Technology Integration: Implement AI and RPA tools to streamline ROI processes, increase productivity, and reduce costs. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in the industry.
Compliance and Security: Ensure all ROI activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Oversee data security measures to protect sensitive information.
Team Management: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing ROI team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer focus.
Customer Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of ROI operations.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including IT, Legal, and Compliance, to ensure seamless integration and support for ROI activities.
Requirements: Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Certification: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in health information management or a related field, with a significant portion in a leadership role overseeing ROI operations.
Financial Acumen: Proven experience managing P&L responsibilities, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
Technology Proficiency: Demonstrated knowledge and experience with AI and RPA tools in a healthcare or information management setting is preferred.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of HIPAA and other relevant regulations governing the release of health information.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external clients.
Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Working Conditions:
Office Environment: Primary work is conducted in an office setting with occasional travel to client sites and conferences as required.
Full-Time Position: This is a full-time position with standard business hours. Additional hours may be required to meet deadlines and address urgent issues.
