Job Summary
The Business Analyst is an individual contributor role that acts as a vital link between OneAmerica’s information technology capabilities and business objectives. This role works closely with the business units to gain deep understanding of business processes, services, and system usage. The Business Analyst's primary objective is helping business partners implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by articulating business rules, as well as stakeholder, functional, and non-functional requirements to meet emerging business challenges, communicate those to stakeholders, facilitators and partners, and articulate them as actionable bodies of work. The Business Analyst must ensure that the final solution meets business objectives and adds to the bottom line. The Business Analyst should also have in-depth process and system domain knowledge, owning documentation of inputs and outputs of systems.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to
Develop and maintain key relationships to build trust and gain an understanding of business needs and pain points
Organize and facilitate key stakeholder meetings to elicit business rules and stakeholder, functional, and non-functional requirements for projects that are large to complex in scope
Analyze problems and opportunities, identify which changes may deliver the most value, and work with business leaders and delivery team members to understand the impact of those changes
Serve as project Organizational Change Management agents ensuring that business areas impacted by project are identified, users stories are documented capturing change, and leaders understand and are prepared for the business transition so that disruption to business operations is minimized and the full value of the project is achieved
Develop and maintain functional specifications of systems including data, operations, input, output, the properties of the system, as well as how the system is being used
Able to change techniques, style, methods, and approach and assimilate various types of information (i.e. diagrams, stakeholder concerns, customer feedback, schematics, user guides, spreadsheets) to maximize the quality of service delivered and more efficiently capture and achieve goals and objectives
Provide consulting to the Solutions Architects to aide with solution design and estimations
Query, mine analyze and visualize data to describe what is happening, what has happened and predict trends
In the spirit of continuous improvement, challenge the status quo and challenge others to rethink current processes, structures, policies, methodologies, and assumptions

Job Requirements
Required Education and/or Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science or a related discipline
Recommended Education and/or Certifications
IIBA certification
Agile certification
ITIL certification
Six Sigma (Yellow or Green Belt) Certification
Required Work Experience
5+ years of business analyst or related experience
Salary Band : 05C
This selected candidate will be expected to work Hybrid in Indianapolis, IN.The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, WI, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
