Reviewing the Firm’s marketing materials for ethics compliance
Drafting and reviewing conflicts waivers, engagement letters and other client communications and documents to ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards
Reviewing, and providing advice on, outside counsel guidelines
Advising lawyers on issues relating to bar admission, unauthorized practice of law, state registration requirements and continuing legal education compliance
Researching and analyzing legal malpractice issues and potential claims
Serving as a liaison with the Firm’s professional liability carrier
Work with the Firm’s General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel on legal matters for the Firm
Assist with all other projects and special requests as needed
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required Education: Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law in the United States required
Four years’ experience with strong knowledge of legal ethics and loss prevention
Knowledge of Rules of Professional Conduct
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; must be able to articulate issues accurately, clearly and succinctly
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities needed to address complex questions and issues
Must have strong organizational skills and be extremely detail-oriented; issue-tracking, follow-up and resolution skills are essential
Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, deadline-driven environment and respond appropriately to shifting priorities
Must maintain confidentiality and use discretion with sensitive information
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
