The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge about workers' compensation law and insurance defense, with a proven track record in litigation and in-house claims. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment where you will use your expertise to handle complex cases and deliver exceptional results for our clients. Responsibilities As a Workers' Compensation Attorney, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to Provide expert legal support and advice on workers' compensation cases, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
Handle all aspects of the litigation process, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and trial.
Represent clients in hearings, trials, and settlement negotiations.
Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective case strategies.
Collaborate with team members and clients to identify and manage legal risks.
Keep abreast of current legislation, court decisions, and other developments in workers' compensation law.
Maintain high standards of professional conduct and ethics.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, maintaining a high level of customer service.
Review and manage all aspects of workers' compensation claims, including investigation, negotiation, and settlement.
Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
Admitted to practice law in the state.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Workers' Compensation Attorney.
Proven experience in insurance defense litigation and in-house claims.
Extensive knowledge of workers' compensation law and insurance defense.
Experience in handling Toxic Tort, Labor, and Employment cases.
Strong negotiation, litigation, and communication skills.
Ability to handle high volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
