A-G Associates is seeking a Data Analyst of varying skill levels to join our dynamic team. These roles are pivotal in delivering data-driven solutions to our clients. As a Data Analyst, you will collect, analyze, and interpret data to provide actionable insights and recommendations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, develop analytical solutions, and enhance decision-making processes. These external-facing positions require a strong background in data analysis, statistical methods, data visualization techniques, and consulting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Analysis:

Gather, clean, and organize data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and external data feeds.

Conduct statistical analysis and build predictive models to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.

Ensure data quality and consistency across various systems and reports.

Data Visualization and Reporting:

Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like R, SAS, Tableau, and Power BI.

Translate data findings into actionable insights and present them to management and other stakeholders to support decision-making.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with project managers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to define data requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.

Requirements: Required Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with varying levels of experience and expertise. The specific qualifications may vary depending on the position level:

Bachelor's Degree: In a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, or data science. A master's degree is preferred for senior-level positions.

Experience:

Entry-Level: 0-2 years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist, or business intelligence analyst.

Mid-Level: 2-5 years of experience.

Senior-Level: 5+ years of experience.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in R, Excel, SAS, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Experience with Python, SAS or R programming is preferred.

Senior-level positions may require advanced technical skills and experience with complex data projects.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive meaningful insights from data.

Research Skills: Knowledge of survey methodology.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Consulting Skills: Demonstrated consulting skills with experience in managing client relationships and delivering tailored solutions.

Experience with Federal Clients:

Experience working with Federal clients, especially DoD, is highly desirable.

Specific external consulting experience with Federal clients is highly desirable.

Additional Knowledge:

Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and database management concepts is a plus.

Familiarity with the consulting business landscape is desirable.

Security Clearance: Ability to complete a Department of Defense (DoD) background check and U.S. citizenship is required.

Location:

A-G Associates is based in Columbia, MD. These positions can be local, remote, or hybrid, with occasional travel to client sites.

Key Requirements : United States Citizenship is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT On-site at A-G Associates offices in Columbia, MD or remote, with travel up to 20%. A-G Associates is a hybrid company, with some employees located within the DC/MD/VA region. For those employees, we expect them to be on-site in our Columbia, MD office at least one day per week. For employees located out of that region, we expect them to travel to Columbia, MD periodically, which is typically about 3-4 times per year or more frequently as clients may require. Specific arrangements may be made in coordination with the Associate Vice President and Operations Manager.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job: The employee is regularly required to speak and listen. The employee is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or squat. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
