Business Immigration Associate Attorney

A law firm in San Jose, CA is seeking an experienced Business Immigration Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional knowledge of immigration law, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and be dedicated to providing outstanding client service. Duties:
Develop an expert-level understanding of client base, supported industries, and firm’s practice areas.
Independently oversee and manage assignments with minimal supervision, positioning as a senior member of the client team.
Utilize legal precedents to address specific client situations and develop creative solutions.
Research complex technical immigration issues and formulate solutions, including documentation completion.
Independently execute case preparation, filing, and develop strategies for complex matters.
Articulate relatively complex issues to various audiences.
Understand the business strategy of the practice area and the firm.
Build, strengthen, and maintain strong client relationships with key stakeholders.
Proactively communicate with clients, providing precise, efficient, and organized responses.
Directly or indirectly supervise junior Associates and provide mentoring and coaching.
Ensure adherence to firm protocols regarding file maintenance, record-keeping, and technology use.
Meet individual and team productivity goals and identify opportunities for cross-selling or billing for additional services.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and standardization of processes.
Participate in marketing and business development opportunities.
Ensure compliance with firm standards, policies, and regulations.
Engage, collaborate, and share knowledge with teams locally, regionally, and firm-wide.
Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
U.S. JD or LLM required.
Member of a US State bar or Washington DC Bar association.
Exceptional working knowledge and understanding of immigration law.
Prior team management experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Dedication to exceptional client service.
Demonstrated attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
Ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
Education and Certifications:
U.S. JD or LLM required.
Member of a US State Bar or Washington DC Bar association.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience at the Associate level.
