SUMMARY OF POSITION: Joining our energetic and cause-driven team, the Summer Camp Counselor position plays a vital role in being a “difference maker” for children. This position requires active supervision and participation with you in a variety of indoor and outdoor summer camp activities including sports, arts & crafts, field trips and swimming. PAY RATE : $ 12-15
CAMP DATES: May 20, 2024 - August 2, 2024 All staff must be able to attend training on either May 4, or May 11, 2024.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
High school graduate or equivalent; one year or more of college preferred.
Previous experience working with school age children; preferably in a day camp setting
Experience preferred in one or more of the following areas: outdoor living, camping, songs/music, skits, sports, aquatics, recreational games, etc.…
CPR, First Aid, AED certification and Child Abuse Prevention Training within 30 days of hire date.
Ability to plan, lead and participate in a range of activities in a variety of outdoor/indoor activities
Ability to attend the mandatory summer day camp training.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Lead and/or participate in all group activities with active supervision of all assigned campers
Handle all disciplinary problems according to camp policies
Responsible for all camper’s safety at camp, busing, field trips, or any other activities
Assists in the maintenance of cleanliness of camp locations
Ability to attend staff meetings and complete all required training
