Overview E&S Property Claims Manager

We are seeking a candidate with extensive property experience, particularly in E&S lines. Candidates should possess a minimum of 7-10 years of relevant claims experience and be adept at communicating expertise effectively, adding immediate value to the E&S claims department.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and management of the E&S claims unit
Serve as a leader and mentor to the claims team offering technical guidance regarding adjustment of claims while providing superior customer service to our policyholders and external partners
Coach and mentor direct reports, providing regular feedback, and developing employees for professional growth and development
Identify and assess coverage issues including issuing disclaimers, RORs, and position letters
Investigates potentially fraudulent claims and take appropriate action in conjunction with the SIU Department
Develop and maintain relationships with company internal and external parties and track and manage servicing metrics
Engage with and travel to key external partners as needed
Prepare and present written and oral reports to Management setting forth all issues influencing claim evaluations and impact on reserves
Work with internal partners such as distribution, underwriting and actuaries regarding claim trends
Qualifications 7-10 years of E&S Property claims experience
Thorough understanding of the E&S property insurance claims landscape including relationships with external partners
Understanding of and ability to balance both the immediate claim issues as well as the broader portfolio impact and customer service impact of coverage disputes and issues
Thorough knowledge of claims, litigation, appraisals and trial processes as well as excellent analytical, investigative, and negotiating skills
Demonstrated ability to take part in strategic discussions and collaborate at all organizational levels, both internally and externally
Experience with Xactimate and Xactanalysis
Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as superior customer service skills
Proper adjuster licensing
Management experience preferred
