About the Role
As a Network Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's core network infrastructure. You'll leverage your expertise in network technologies and best practices to ensure our ever-growing network supports our business needs with optimal performance, scalability, and security. This role demands a keen understanding of network protocols, a strategic mindset, and the ability to translate business objectives into robust network architectures.
Responsibilities Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performing network architectures across Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs).
Select, configure, and manage network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
Analyze network traffic patterns and identify potential bottlenecks and performance issues.
Implement network security measures to mitigate risks and ensure data protection.
Plan and execute network upgrades and migrations.
Document network configurations and procedures for future reference.
Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
Stay current with emerging network technologies and industry best practices.
Collaborate with IT teams (security, operations, etc.) to ensure network alignment with overall IT strategy.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 5+ years of experience in network design, implementation, and administration.
Proven experience with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc.), switching technologies (VLANs, QoS, etc.), and network security principles (firewalls, VPNs, etc.).
Working knowledge of network operating systems (Cisco IOS, Windows Server) is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Certifications (Preferred) CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent industry certification.
Security certifications (Security+, CCNP Security) are a plus.
