The Role
The Facilities Supervisor (FS) is responsible for ensuring the Amped Kitchens Los Angeles facilities are maintained to the high standards required by our tenants and regulatory agencies. You will manage a 4-5 person team responsible for sanitation, maintenance, and shipping/receiving, and will support tenants in facility improvement projects.
The ideal candidate is highly organized and self-motivated with building engineering experience. A person who enjoys developing strong relationships with contractors, vendors, clients, and internal teams will excel in this role.
Specific Accountabilities :
Maintenance : Oversight of (and where relevant, direct responsibility for) basic plumbing, HVAC and electrical work ensuring urgent facility and equipment issues are addressed and, when necessary, escalated.
Construction Management : Help scope tenant improvement upgrades, request bids, and coordinate/oversee contractors for all major construction work.
Dispatch Tenant Support: Monitor internal ticketing system and dispatch team members based on issue severity and standard response times. Close out tickets and follow up with tenants to confirm issue resolution.
Facility Cleanliness: Oversee sanitation of common areas including dishrooms, hallways, storage areas and docks.
Receiving, Shipping, and Warehouse Management : Ensure accurate and food safe handling and storage of tenant materials, and capture relevant information for tenant bill backs.
Tenant Training: Onboard tenants into Amped system, and provide ongoing coaching to ensure tenant compliance with facility cleanliness, safety, and operational processes.
Personnel Management: Ensure daily maintenance/sanitation/dock checklists are completed, manage scheduling, enforce compliance with HR policies, and provide performance feedback.
Qualifications
5+ years of facilities and/or building engineering experience, including oversight of construction projects
Proficient at understanding operating and capital budgets and working with a budget
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in Work order systems (experience with AppFolio a plus) and Microsoft software
Experience in reading and understanding plans and specifications
Spanish proficiency is a plus
Experience with food production, GMPs and sanitation are a plus
ServSafe manager certification for food handling required prior to start
Compensation
$73,000-$82,000
