Application Scientist, Computational Chemistry

Boston, MA, United States

Your Role:

As a Senior Application and Discovery Scientist, you will join the product management team for our AI, Cheminformatics, and automation drug discovery products. You will play a crucial role in developing AI-enabled software and a robotics ecosystem for drug discovery.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a superuser of our AI/Cheminformatics software, providing expertise to medicinal chemists on drug design projects.

Lead pre-sales activities, including product demonstrations, planning, training, and offering design guidance to engineering and external partners.

Create scientific and marketing content to showcase our product's value to support sales and marketing efforts.

Participate in customer onboarding, provide technical training, and ensure effective tool utilization post-implementation.

Train internal stakeholders, including general sales and technical teams.

Recommend product feature designs to the engineering team, address technical inquiries, and represent the product expertise.

Engage in scientific projects with customers, using our software to drive drug discovery results, aiming for publications.

Leverage networking opportunities to stay updated on industry trends, build trust in our technology, and identify potential sales opportunities.

Physical Attributes:

Expect approximately 20-30% travel domestically and/or internationally.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

PhD (or MS) in computational chemistry, medicinal chemistry, cheminformatics, or a related field.

At least 1 year of experience using cheminformatics/computational modeling tools for drug discovery.

At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role.

Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and customer engagement.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA is a plus.

Experience with demos and training of cheminformatics tools or chemistry software solutions.

In-depth understanding of small molecule drug discovery processes.

Comfortable in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.

Self-driven, results-oriented leader with a collaborative working style.
