We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our fast-paced, high growth firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the firm, ensuring the accuracy of financial reports and maintaining regulatory compliance. This is a challenging and high-profile role that requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a strong background in financial management. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the financial future of our company, making a significant impact on our growth and success.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial operations of the firm, including accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
2. Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to the executive team and board of directors.
3. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
4. Manage the preparation and submission of all tax filings, including sales and use tax.
5. Collaborate with other department heads to align financial management with short and long-term operational goals.
6. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing strategic recommendations based on findings.
7. Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to ensure budgets align with operational goals.
8. Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring all audit requirements are met.
9. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level to guide the overall direction of the company.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably with job cost experience.
