A San Diego-based architectural studio is currently looking for a Project Manager/Architect with a minimum of 6 years of experience to join its collaborative team environment. In this full-time position, you will work closely with the Principal-In-Charge on the design development and coordination of various architectural projects, with a primary focus on multi-family housing. As a member of their team, you'll have the opportunity to be involved in all project phases, lead meetings, visit job sites, and grow through mentorship in their close-knit and collaborative atmosphere.

Over the past 30 years, this twenty-nine-person studio has won many awards for its diverse portfolio including affordable housing, mixed-use infill development, historic reuse, charter schools, university, civic, and urban planning projects. Project Manager Responsibilities:

Lead project teams, ensuring effective coordination among consultants.

Organize and lead client and team meetings for efficient project progress.

Establish project schedules, deliverables, and milestones for clear timelines.

Develop comprehensive construction documents, emphasizing project detailing and basis of design.

Assign tasks, set goals, and coordinate deliverables within the team for streamlined workflow.

Lead quality assurance reviews to ensure high standards in project outcomes.

Collaborate on design and assist in design presentations for effective communication.

Coordinate construction administration efforts, ensuring smooth project execution.

Manage the production of the Revit model in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Navigate through permitting and plan check processes with various jurisdictions.

Applicants must have the following qualifications: Professional Degree in Architecture from an accredited program.

Minimum of 6 years' experience in an architectural office.

Expertise in designing, documenting, and constructing multi-family buildings.

Advanced proficiency in Revit with demonstrated knowledge and experience.

Familiarity with technical aspects of architecture and construction document assembly.

Knowledge of state and local building codes, including accessibility requirements.

Strong multitasking abilities, prioritizing tasks effectively against deadlines.

Self-starting attitude with excellent organizational and time management skills.

Aesthetic sensitivity with a commitment to design excellence.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred skillset: Demonstrated knowledge in DD/CD/Permitting on large multi-family projects

Familiar with Type VA and Type IA construction

California multi-family project experience (K-12, higher education, and/or educational campus master planning a plus)
