Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to direct and manage project activities for a division or business area. The role involves overseeing complex, cross-functional programs from design to production, ensuring collaboration with multiple vendors, and leading contingency planning efforts. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of project or IT management experience, advanced proficiency in project management tools, and strong analytical and communication skills. Key Responsibilities:
Direct, manage, plan, and administer project activities within a division or business area.
Oversee the design, development, and production of complex and cross-functional programs and projects.
Utilize multiple vendors and ensure effective collaboration.
Lead contingency planning and risk mitigation efforts.
Develop, plan, and schedule the development, introduction, communication, and maintenance of all projects.
Oversee the execution of multiple projects and coordinate/manage dependencies.
Be accountable for the delivery of program capabilities and business results.
Resolve issues within the program that do not require sponsor attention.
Monitor progress to ensure program objectives are delivered on time and within budget, and business results are realized.
Communicate program performance to program sponsors and the executive team.
Serve as the point of contact for the program sponsor and a key member of the Governance team.
Determine the impact of program changes on the business case and re-forecast value creation.
Identify areas for internal improvement and develop plans for implementation.
Comply with and enforce standard company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
BS/BA degree, preferably in a technical discipline, or equivalent training and education.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent preferred.
8-10 years of project management, program management, or IT management experience, including financial and schedule performance reporting.
Minimum 5 years of experience managing cross-functional and end-to-end IT business processes.
Experience in all phases of systems development from concept through installation and maintenance, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the required technology.
Master-level proficiency in automated project management tools such as Microsoft Project.
Advanced proficiency in analytical, organizational, project management, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written).
