About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP Accounting with a strong background in commercial real estate development or construction management. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of accounting activities, including preparing detailed requisitions with project milestones and contractual agreements, project accounting, banking, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and general accounting tasks. Key requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, a minimum of 7 years' accounting experience in the specified industries, and expertise in general ledger account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statement preparation. The role also demands the ability to travel regularly to job sites, excellent communication skills, strong project management abilities, and a high standard for quality and attention to detail.Applicants for the VP Accounting position at the company should possess the minimum qualifications mentioned above and may have an advantage with experience in procure software, Sage 300 (Timberline) software, or a background in construction. An MBA or CPA is not required but would be a plus. The role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of AIA Billings/Requisitions for payment and contractor transactions. The ideal candidate will have the capacity to manage multiple high-visibility, time-sensitive projects and demonstrate a professional presence and presentation. Additionally, any experience with ROI calculations and a history of working in construction, even during high school or college, are considered beneficial.
