About the Role

The Company is a leading immunology-focused biotechnology firm dedicated to the development of innovative therapies for a range of serious and infectious diseases. They are currently seeking a Vice President, Translational Research with a strong background in immunology and clinical biomarker science for immunotherapies. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Translational Biology department, providing strategic leadership, and ensuring the alignment of translational strategies with corporate goals. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to design and execute biomarker-driven clinical trials, as well as representing translational biology in interactions with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities.Applicants for the Vice President, Translational Research position should hold a Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline, with a preference for an immunology background, and have at least 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. Technical expertise in immunology, biomarker discovery, and development in clinical trials is essential, as is a proven track record in leading clinical biomarker development, particularly in the field of immunotherapy. The role requires a candidate with a history of building strong relationships and the ability to promote engagement across all levels. Strong leadership, management, and communication skills are also necessary, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and ensure the effective allocation of financial resources.
