As a Truck Salesperson, you will be responsible for generating new business and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients in the heavy truck industry. Your primary goal will be to meet or exceed sales targets by promoting and selling our range of heavy trucks to fleet operators, trucking companies, and other commercial entities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a deep knowledge of heavy trucks, and a proven track record of sales success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Sells new and used heavy duty trucks in a dedicated territory, will be both inside and outside sales calling on customers in your assigned territory.
Assists customers in selecting/ordering trucks and components which suit their business needs
Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect the sale of heavy-duty vehicles
Actively finds new and existing prospects either by telephone or by making calls to individuals and businesses outside the dealership
Provides follow-up and ongoing service to existing customers.
Offers service to all walk-in and call-in customers on assigned floor days
Delivers new trucks, explaining new-truck warranty and service policies
Studies truck and equipment specifications to improve knowledge of product performance and application continually
Appraises used trucks when necessary
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Lifting up to 50 pounds
Employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, and kneel.
Employee will be regularly using arms, hands, and fingers to feel, grasp, push, pull or squeeze and reach
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: High School Diploma, equivalent or higher
Demonstrated customer service excellence
Three to five years’ experience selling medium to heavy trucks preferred
Proven ability to work well in a team
Must have a Commercial Driver’s License (class B) or ability to acquire within 6 months.
Ability to pass a DOT physical/drug test and background/MVR check
