Engineering Technicians within the Test Systems Engineering group work together with the highest caliber Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to ensure bespoke test equipment needed to further product development is properly maintained and repaired at an accelerated pace. Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Mechanical aptitude: Ability to deconstruct electro-mechanical assemblies to component level, inspect for damage or nonconformance, and reassemble with little to no guidance. • Knowledge of hand and power tools, with intermediate to expert level of use. • Fabrication skills (use of cut-off wheels, metal grinders, drill press, etc.) • Electrical skills: basic wiring ability, connecting sensors & power supplies, soldering, using a DMM . • Understanding of electrical and rotating equipment hazards (LOTO, HV Training) . • MUST be able to travel (Domestic and International). • Ability to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines. • Excellent written & verbal communication skills. • Detail-oriented with solid documentation and reporting skills utilizing Microsoft office and project management tools like JIRA / Confluence. • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required. • Must be able to become HV certified and be comfortable working with equipment capable of 600VAC and 1500VDC. • Understanding of Linux based script or python highly preferred.
