About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for its Sensing Solutions business unit. The CTO will be responsible for leading and directing all technology activities to drive innovation and deliver products that meet customer needs. This includes leading globally distributed design centers, coordinating and managing global technology centers, and overseeing research and development activities. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's technological landscape, driving innovation, and ensuring its competitive edge in the global market. Key responsibilities also include identifying and evaluating emerging technologies, leading transformation efforts in new product development, managing the technology budget, and building high-functioning business relationships across various functions.Applicants for the CTO position must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, a minimum of 15 years of engineering experience, and at least 5 years of experience leading new product introduction initiatives and managing people. The role requires a candidate with a market-focused mindset, the ability to anticipate changes in customer needs and a strategic vision to align technology initiatives with business goals. Experience in sensor/monitoring equipment, an advanced engineering or business degree, and a background in industrial sectors such as oil and gas, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical markets are highly valued. The ideal candidate will have extensive leadership experience, particularly in an international, multi-site, and multicultural business environment, as well as strong executive communication skills and a proven track record in change management.
