About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Controller to join their mission of protecting humankind from bacterial diseases. The successful candidate will be a proven executive with a strong background in accounting and controllership functions, including experience in a public company and a Big 4 audit firm. This role is pivotal in leading and managing the company's accounting operations, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting, and managing compliance with SOX and US GAAP. The Vice President, Controller will also be responsible for developing talent, overseeing financial systems and process development projects, and working cross-functionally to support the company's growth and scaling.Applicants must have a CPA and a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business, with at least 15 years of accounting experience. A minimum of 5 years in a public company and 5 years of Big 4 audit experience is required, with additional experience in biotech/life sciences and manufacturing. The role demands a leader with strong critical thinking, organizational, and execution skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented, a change leader, and will embody the company's cultural attributes of caring, courage, excellence, and passion. Responsibilities include managing the general accounting functions, overseeing financial statement reporting, and maintaining a strong internal control structure.
