Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Inventory Control Functions
Researches and reconciles inventory variances throughout the year, with an emphasis during Spring and Year End Inventory
Assists with addressing and facilitating vendor recalls
Performs physical stock checks in the Distribution Center warehouse
Conducts full physical inventory counts and posts results
Summarizes and files inventory research results
Ensures that necessary stock checks are performed, by either performing them on his or her own, or by assigning others to complete them when appropriate
Performs data entry relating to physical counts during Spring and Year End Inventory, special projects, and as directed
Posts scheduled cycle counts
Addresses damages and codes them appropriately
Administrative Support Maintains and organizes department files, folders, and paperwork
Provides administrative support to the department, including, but not limited to:
Assisting with open transactions that impact postings
Ensuring product lines are on / off depending on count schedule
Following up as necessary to ensure inventory is clean and accurate
Validating received quantities on POs and transfers
Answers telephone and greets internal customers in a professional and courteous manner
Position Knowledge and Training Maintains thorough and up-to-date knowledge and understanding of SxE functionality for day-to-day functions of the Distribution Center
Attends all mandated company training programs as directed
Attends safety meetings and training programs as directed
Attends training to addresses communications such as email, documentation, and telephone etiquette, on a yearly basis
Travel and Time This position requires travel to outside locations/branches for about 15% of the time.
This position requires the ability to work flexible hours, and possibly weekends, based on business needs (especially during the summer and during the YE Inventory period).
Pay range: $20-25/hr
