Job Summary:The primary responsibility of the Inventory Control Specialist is to ensure that the ICOS Americas inventory count is continuously maintained, counted, and checked to ensure accurate inventory levels are being reported. Also responsible for the inventory accuracy on all transactions ensuring inventory integrity such as with in-house and outsourced kitting and inventory at any off-site locations (consignment stock).Responsibilities:Implements and maintains process to ensure compliance with corporate finance policy on cycle counting to ensure exemption from annual physical inventory requirementEnsures all cycle counts are performed on a daily/regular basisMaintain inventory turns within acceptable range determined by managementMaintains ongoing records for all inventory functions performed in the departmentEnforces all housekeeping regulation and insure conformance to all safety standardsTrains personnel as needed on new procedures and trains new employees on all proceduresMust insure the inventory transactions in Receiving are properly performed on a daily basisUtilize equipment (ie., cherry picker or “hi lo”) to reach inventory at higher levelsRequired Skills and ExperienceEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:2 year undergraduate degree, preferably business oriented, preferred SKILLS:PC LiterateExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal skilled requiredProblem solving skillsAbility to utilize cherry picker/”hi lo” and another equipment to access hard to reach inventory EXPERIENCE:2 years related experienceExperience working in a union warehouse environment At Belden, you can build a career in a way no other company can duplicate.
