On-Road Transportation Supervisor

Julius Silvert is hiring an On-Road Transportation Supervisor to join our growing team. Responsibilities:
Supervise drivers, and prepare drivers for their day & workload by providing regular training, coaching, follow up & support, including on-road support & performance audit
Ensure safety compliance (HOS compliance, DVIR, pre/post-check, uniform, PPE, etc.)
Monitor and enforce on-time/route compliance
Train, monitor, and enforce accurate and complete scanning
Motivate, communicate, and drive successful driver behavior
Conduct regular Safety & Performance meetings
Train new drivers
Qualifications:
CDL A or B Required
Previous experience and/or formal training or education in the transportation industry, preferably in the food industry. Refrigerated truck experience is a plus
Sound knowledge of DOT Safety regulations and FMSCA compliance regulations is required
Possess strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise the work of others. Must be able to take direction, motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results
Exceptional multi-tasking and communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to deal with a wide variety of people both in person and over the phone
Strong sense of urgency, with the ability to handle administrative duties along with operations management in a fast-paced, time-sensitive industry
Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills required
Flexibility with schedule including the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays to support 24/7 operation
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel, preferred
