About the Role
The Company is seeking a Director of Monetization and Game Economy to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in the development and execution of monetization strategies for their games, involving the full cycle of design, implementation, and analysis of all related features. The successful candidate will be the key point of contact for the Product, Game Design, Data, and Marketing teams and will be responsible for driving the monetization goals, planning initiatives to enhance revenue, and overseeing the implementation of NFT sales and secondary trading activities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure the successful rollout of monetization projects, and the role also requires the maintenance of a feature pipeline and promotions calendar, as well as the design and management of game economies.Applicants for this role should have a minimum of 5 years experience in a monetization design position for a released game and a degree in a relevant field such as Economics, Math, Computer Science, Finance, or a related discipline. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of game mechanics, particularly for MMOs and Action RPGs, are essential. While not mandatory, experience with blockchain economies, free-to-play games, and a background in playing or developing MMOs and Action RPGs are considered advantageous. The ideal candidate will be passionate about games, capable of turning business strategy into data-driven recommendations, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
