DEPARTMENT: Inside Sales DATE : August 2023

REPORTS TO: Sales Operations Manager FLSA : Exempt

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

To drive sales activity by qualifying leads provided by Marketing Communications. Work closely with sales team to ensure efficient flow and hand off of qualified leads. Provide sales support to the sales organization and internal departments and customers. Interact closely with Marketing Communications team on lead generation and sales activities. Act as independent sales channel as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Convert MQLs (marketing qualified leads) to SQLs (sales qualified leads) by confirming the defined set of criteria is met.

Follow up with new inbound sales leads via telephone and email, following the sales process from beginning to end.

Acts as an independent sales channel as required.

Use marketing & sales software platforms to determine a contact’s history & specific level of interest.

Understand the customer buying process and how it relates to the sales process and the ability to move to close through consistent follow up, content delivery and mixed media messaging (phone & email)

Develop a thorough understanding of EFJohnson product lines through active participation in training and self-development activities.

Develop a solid understanding of internal process flows to support sales activities.

Commit to and deliver results based on monthly quotas/forecasts.

Agrees to abide by the established Approval Matrix

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, or a Technical Discipline

1-3 years previous sales, inbound marketing, account management, or customer service experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CONTINUED:

Experience in using CRM/Inbound Marketing tools.

Experience in using Microsoft Office products.

Learn and grow in the industry.

COMPETENCIES:

Ability to work independently and prioritize both revenue generating and non-revenue generating activities.

Ability to work in a collaborative environment and take actions that are in the best interest of the company.

Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to balance multiple tasks.
