Description
The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing a variety of strategic marketing efforts—including building and maintaining the Spatial Front Inc. (SFI) brand overall and managing initiatives to drive growth and engage customers. This position works hand in hand with business development and leaders in support of the growth and retention plans as determined by the executive leadership.
The Marketing Manager requires an understanding of SFI’s business, vendor management expertise, professional communication acumen to manage important internal and client communications, and attention to detail as it relates to strategic initiative management.
Work location is in Bethesda, MD .: Currently it is 1 day a week in office and 4 days remote but this is subjected to change.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Accountable for delivering on specific strategic priorities as part of our marketing strategy that drive profitability, brand consistency, and overall market growth
Collaborates with executive team in developing goals, strategies and management practices that will ensure in-region dynamic growth and industry-leading client retention
Fosters and develops relationships with local office leaders in order to exceed the sales and retention goals for the office
Manages brand awareness activities in the region, including regional buzz-building, event marketing, key market messaging and execution
Oversees content development, execution and management for all marketing channels, including media (online and print), website and social, and branded collateral (including videos)
Researches and develops messaging that resonates with ideal customers; collaborates with leadership, business development, and service teams to understand customer needs and develop insight-based messaging and collateral to support
Manages and implements marketing plans—including lead generation activities, campaigns, webinars, and PR; leverage customer data to improve customer experience and outcomes
Works closely with leadership to develop an enablement strategy to ensure colleagues have efficient and effective access to the right resources for their customers
Manages local market relationships with PR firms, journalists and media
Design and deliver innovative in-person and virtual events, and peer forums
Plan and execute industry events, developing print collaterals/website messaging, and executing marketing automation activities; consults local office leaders on event marketing best practices
Collaborates with leaders to monitor, analyze and present results of marketing efforts to stakeholders
Identify and qualify new business and maintain a pipeline aligned with the company
Leverage industry-leading market intelligence tools for additional insight and understanding
Identify and utilize specialized industry or program consultants, as needed
Reach out to potential customers and conduct capability briefing together with SME
Understand company strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
Identify qualified teaming partners and prepare detailed competitor analysis
Leverage and grow industry and customer network, attend relevant industry days and conferences, and market company capabilities and services
Be thoroughly familiar with and maintain a strong understanding of our services and capabilities, strategic partnerships, past performance, and past responses
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Information Design or a related field
5+ years of marketing experience in the Federal Government Contracting space, IT Support Services or technology services with increasing responsibilities
Proven experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Hubspot and other digital platforms
Proven experience with LinkedIn, Instagram and other social platforms
Recent management experience (minimum of five years) or a proven capability to manage entry-level team members
Strong business writing and communication skills, including comfort working with executive-level stakeholders
Growth mindset focused on driving outcomes with the ability to think strategically and problem solve
Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple priorities concurrently in a fast-paced environment
Strong project management skills and experience serving as a project lead: plan, organize, and manage the execution of multiple, complex projects
Propensity towards curiosity and continuous learning; demonstrated ability to develop industry insights into actionable content
Strong business acumen of marketing trends with the ability to translate concepts into compelling narratives for a wide range of audiences
Strong leadership presence and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work independently and as a member of the team
Must be self-motivated and disciplined; demonstrated ability to take initiative
Comfort with technology and using online software to manage your work
Demonstrated experience working with the following design platforms: Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and PowerPoint, as well as one or more organizational platforms such as: Google, MS Teams, etc.
Demonstrated aptitude towards innovation and comfort with latest digital marketing strategies and tools such as: WordPress, Vimeo, etc.

In order to meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be authorized to work in the US.

Other Information
The salary for this position is $80,000 - $130,000 annually
