Job Summary
The Daisy Brand BI team consumes data from multiple sources to enable business users to make data-driven decisions. We are looking for a Data Analyst who loves data and working with a modern cloud data platform technology stacking using Azure SQL Managed Instance and Microsoft Fabric.
The ideal candidate will ensure rapid thorough analysis of complex business needs, applying analytics techniques and developing solutions to drive strong outcomes. Activities include analyzing and creating reports using documented procedures, assuring quality and data accuracy. The candidate will serve as liaison between departments and generate documentation for systems and applications across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Collaboration
Collaborate with the business subject matter experts and managers to ensure solutions are meeting the needs of business requirements.
Foster improved alignment of technology initiatives with business strategies by building and maintaining relationships with technology teams and business partners.
Review functional requirements and business case, define scope, and gather specification for development.
Engage business partners to understand requirements, map to logical and physical data models and develop thoughtful insights into the data.
Data Analysis
Perform data analysis and data mappings across various systems.
Working with systems and business users, source existing data to develop reports, or, in the event of nonexistent data, identify root source systems in which necessary data resides.
Work with SME’s to maintain knowledge base/foundation of KPI/Metric/Report definitions, intentions, and access
Develop in depth analysis and models to identify patterns, correlations, and actionable results in the manufacturing processes.
Data Engineering
Knowledge of PowerBI dashboard development, Data Visualization concepts, ETL processes, Data Architectures, and Data Modeling.
Leverage systems, relationships, and process design to drive continuous business improvement.
Work with developers to validate data to business process
Lead innovative processes utilizing data with business
Required Qualifications
8+ years relevant experience.
Love for data and data storytelling
Experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, On-Premise SQL Server and Azure DevOps.
Fundamental understanding of systems and data architecture
Must have an analytical mind, be a critical thinker and problem solver.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment.
Proven experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and/or SSIS
Knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Data Lake
Experience with manufacturing data
Knowledge of D365 Finance and Operations data

This is a full-time position located at the Dallas office and may require occasional travel to Daisy’s manufacturing sites.
This position will abide by the hybrid/work-from-home policies for the Corporate IT team.
This position is not available for remote work.
