Lead Software Integration and Test Engineer

**Job Description**

BAE Systems is looking for an experienced software Test Lead to work on a multi-disciplinary team in an Agile, fast-paced development environment. This candidate will support the vision, strategy, planning and ongoing support for the integration, test, deployment, and sustainment of an Intelligence Alerting and Situation Awareness system. Assigned tasks may include the development of Test Plans, Test Procedures, Integration, Regression Testing, and Deploying software into a continuous integration environment. The Test Lead is also responsible for the installation, deployment and transition of the Insight system in the customer s operating environment. The Test Lead will coordinate with the Technical Team to accomplish program tasks, provide technical solutions, and support system integration on the program.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading the installation, testing and integration of complex and technical software development projects. This position requires support of customer meetings and operational system deployment and support activities.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Experience with software integration and test processes for software development programs

+ Experience using logs and Java source code to troubleshoot and describe software behavior defects

+ Experience using browser developer tools and Javascript source code to troubleshoot and describe user interface behavior defects

+ Experience with Kubernetes and Rancher, or other container-managed deployment technology

+ Experience with requirements verification and stakeholder validation for software transition to OPS

+ Experience with agile development processes, including program planning and conducting feature demonstrations to customers

+ Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities

+ The ability to engage constructively with peers and technical leads to communicate the technical approach, trade-offs, and technical decisions

+ Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)

+ Understanding and application of modern software development and systems engineering practices, design principles, techniques, and technologies

+ Highly motivated and able to work well in both team and solo settings

+ Experience with developing systems engineering process for planning dev, integration and test

+ Capable of writing detailed test procedures

+ Capable of learning new systems quickly

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Active Top Secret/SCI clearance

+ Experience with Intelligence Community

+ Experience with Test Automation Tools

+ Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment

+ Motivated self-starter with good problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability

+ Ability to develop improved methods to increase program efficiency

+ Demonstrated leadership skills (supervisory experience, building teams, mentoring, building customer relationships)

+ Ability to negotiate effectively with higher level managers, functional managers, customers, industry partners, and teammates

+ Strong oral and written communications skills

+ Good planning and organizational skills

**Pay Information**

Full-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
