Systems Engineer

PSI has a diverse team of electrical and embedded engineers who design, build, and test power distribution and control systems for our state-of-the art Imaging and Communication systems. We are searching for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the team and contribute to the development of our next generation RF-photonic devices and millimeter wave antenna systems.
A successful candidate will:• Design new analog and digital control circuits that interface between MCUs/FPGAs and RFPhotonic components. • Design complete power distribution from 110VAC to low voltage DC, and everything in between.• Draw schematics and lay out PCBs following industry standard design guidelines.• Work with PCB Fabrication and Assembly houses to manufacture new designs.• Work with Mechanical Engineers to integrate designs into mechanical models.• Assemble & rework PCBs and other circuits as needed.• Assemble and integrate cable assemblies with systems.• Be ready to work in a fast-paced environment and form creative solutions to unique problems.
Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar• 5+ years of industry experience designing circuits & PCBs• Ability to work in-person at an office in Newark, DE.• Experience with digital communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet) • Experience using general electrical lab equipment (multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:• Experience using Altium Designer• IPC CID certification is a plus• Experience writing firmware for embedded devices (STM32, Arduino, etc.)
Job Type: Full-time (no remote work)Pay: $70K - $140K, depending on experience and degree level
