The VP - Corporate Marketing leads the corporate marketing function focused on driving the execution and delivery of winning portfolio management, Strategic Brand Management, customer insights, Pricing Strategies, and customer experience.  This leader will partner cross functionally and across business units to ensure consistency of deployment of our processes and approaches to the aforementioned areas.   The leader will drive the importance of a holistic view of customer experience and ensure our customers’ expected experiences are baked into how we deliver new products and marketing campaigns.  He or she will lead overarching campaign designs across all channels in partnership with Sales and Digital Marketing. The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading teams that work cross-functionally to define, execute, and measure highly impactful new products and in market marketing campaigns and programs-while inspiring teams, developing talent, and creating an inclusive culture. The VP will report directly to the SVP, Strategic Sales, and Marketing.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively to build a unified Enterprise marketing plan that delivers against company-level goals.

Enable functional excellence to ensure centrally designed marketing programs are scaled globally.

Run team operations including KDG setting, team performance, quarterly and annual business planning, budgeting, and headcount.

Ensure the deployment and support of BD’s Winning Portfolio marketing strategy through the business units’ marketing leaders.

Lead corporate BD brand campaign initiatives in partnership with corporate communications and regional marketing and oversee BD brand integrity across channel and platform.

Partner with Business and Region Platform and Marketing leaders ensure that customer experience principles are embedded into product/solutions

Set global and unified standards for price setting and management to maximize profitability.

Support business product strategies for new and existing products through deep customer insights.

Relentlessly innovate, improve, and build successful customer acquisition/lead generation strategies.

Drive a clear marketing channel ROI attribution model to drive more disciplined marketing campaign execution and performance.

Deliver on omnichannel marketing strategy roadmap in partnership with the VP of Digital Marketing accelerating the deployment of the identified five strategic imperatives.

Drive innovation in process, automation, and scalability of BD's marketing programs.

Work directly with the executive stakeholders within BD to understand, synthesize, and translate the enterprise priorities into a Customer Experience approach and roadmap.

Critical Deliverables:

Marketing discipline

Develop strategies and tools to create consistent Marketing disciplines and competencies across the organization.

Corporate Brand Management Strategy & Execution

Develop a distinctive BD corporate brand identity & positioning for each major customer group throughout the value chain (including end customer), ensuring that these identities are consistent with business strategy, and link/ladder up to accelerate equity/awareness in the marketplace.

Direct market / brand research as needed to support the above

Customer Insights and Portfolio Management

Deliver winning portfolio playbook and drive execution across BDX to ensure improved customer value for products and solutions.

Deliver consistent market outperformance of new product/solution launches.

Drive customer insights analytics capabilities and competency to design and implement metrics that quantify the impact of these activities on Region’s business units.

Strategic Pricing

Drive and sustain Global Pricing Excellence to achieve optimal pricing that balances profitability, market competitiveness and customer value.

Customer Experience Loyalty

Develop, manage, and deliver a pipeline of Customer Experience projects that are embedded in customer insights and ladder up to the BD business and Cx strategies.

Define and manage process and project execution for Customer Experience initiatives, driving CX BDX outputs through the organization to impact the customer.

Understand, synthesize, and communicate customer experience insights and trends for each channel and across channels.

Facilitate opportunities to embed CX throughout the organization in capability, process, technology, and culture.

Establish routine customer experience metrics and a voice of customer program to bring the customer feedback into BD management systems.

Required Qualifications:

BS/BA in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA highly preferred

20+ years of work experience in B2B Product Marketing or Customer Marketing preferably in global healthcare industry

10+ years in Senior Marketing Management Roles managing successful teams.

Profound Expertise and demonstrated experience in leveraging, influencing, navigating, and building marketing plans and partnerships across internal and external teams to drive business results and exceptional customer experience.

Proven leadership in a complex, fast-moving, high growth matrixed organization

Innovative and visionary; can rally diverse stakeholders around a common vision.

Exceptional presentation, project management, and communication skills. Is aware of the communication requirements of internal and external business situations and delivers clear and compelling messages, even in challenging situations.

Both creative and analytical mindset -- the ability to generate ideas and rigorously analyze their performance to understand how we can improve

Proven track record of building high performing teams and the ability to lead and mentor a team of senior marketers providing strategic guidance, coaching and support to drive performance and business objectives.

Demonstrated experience building a positive, productive, and highly engaged and inclusive culture.

Experience in developing customer experience strategies at an enterprise level.

Proven success working across cultures and communicating with globally distributed teams and customers.

Leading an organization through change or rapid growth as well as managing people, relationships, and expectations in a dynamic environment

In-depth understanding of competition, target customer and industry trends and incorporating insights into marketing plans
