Job Overview: We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our organization as the Practice Lead focused on Marketing and Communications. The Practice Lead will be responsible for building the practice from the ground up, recruiting talent, developing methodologies, client engagement, and delivering high-quality, high-risk services. This role requires a unique blend of strategic leadership, operational aptitude, and a proven track record in developing and implementing Marketing and Communications strategies and plans.
Given the complexity and responsibility associated with this role, a strong focus on leadership and prior experience in building or leading a team, especially in high-risk projects, is critical. A well-rounded candidate would not just have technical or theoretical knowledge but would also be proficient in client relationship management and business development.
Skills & Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
2. Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in marketing and communications in an agency environment
3. Leadership: Proven track record in leading teams and successfully building and implementing multi-channel MarCom strategies and plans.
4. Technical Skills: Proficient in project management, productivity, and collaboration software.
Desired Qualifications:
1. Consulting Experience: Prior experience in an agency or consulting firm is highly desirable.
2. Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
3. Networking: Existing relationships with potential clients in the industry.
Duties:
Practice Development:
1. Strategic Planning: Develop a 3-5 year roadmap for the practice, including revenue forecasts, service offerings, and market positioning.
2. Resource Allocation: Determine staffing and budgetary requirements for the practice.
Business Development:
1. Client Engagement: Initiate and manage high-level relationships with potential and existing clients.
2. Proposal Management: Lead the creation and delivery of compelling proposals and presentations.
3. Market Analysis: Continuously assess the competitive landscape and market trends, adapting strategies accordingly.
Talent Management:
1. Recruitment: Source, interview, and hire professionals with expertise in marketing and communications.
2. Training & Development: Develop training programs to ensure team members have the requisite skills.
3. Team Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring project milestones are met and quality standards are maintained.
Service Delivery:
1. Client Engagement: Act as the senior point of contact for service delivery and client satisfaction.
2. Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with high-risk services.
3. Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to continuously improve service delivery.
