IT Specialist (DATAMGT/INFOSEC), 12361138 Designs, develops, modifies, and manages Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and IBM DB2/UDB databases. Creates and maintains plans, specifications, and documentation.
Monitors and optimizes database performance and tunes database operations as required.
Generates complex queries and reports and participates in the design of data mining and data warehousing systems.
Incumbent researches, evaluates, and tests available Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software packages to aid in the database creation and maintenance.
Ensures all security vulnerabilities are mitigated and that appropriate security databases are updated with mitigation actions.
Follows accepted project life-cycle and configuration management (CM) practices to monitor critical steps for major program enhancement projects, implementation, and recovery
