Our specially selected team of engineers, software developers and scientists develop algorithms, software integrated prototypes and solutions for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Manned and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Mission Planning, and Situational Awareness.
MORSE is looking for a Software Engineer with a background in Modeling and Simulation. You will join teams focused on cutting-edge modeling and simulations of Artificial Intelligence and real-world systems. The work is executed in small multidisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and software developers.
Responsibilities
The Software Engineer- Modeling and Simulation will be focused on testable design and scalable implementation of software. Creative candidates who want to make an immediate impact will thrive in the MORSE environment. A successful candidate will have the ability to
Extrapolate simple mathematical models of physical processes from complex data
Implement, test, and evaluate the models in simulation (C++, Rust, Python)
Work within a larger team to deliver a highly performant simulation solution
Proactively participate in both design reviews and in code reviews using pull requests.
Additionally, the candidate must be eager to learn new technologies and stay on top of the latest software engineering trends. The candidate will work on a team developing new code bases that are heavily object-oriented, extensible, and maintainable.
Skills And Requirements
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED or the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
Development experience in C/C++(preferred), Rust (preferred), and/or Python.
BS, MS, or PhD in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar field.
Proficiency developing and implementing models of real-world processes.
Experience with developing code for faster-than-realtime simulations
Experience with Agile development
Strong communication skills
Self-starter and driven
Desired Skills
Experience with Docker and Docker-compose
Experience with microservice architecture
Experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)
