ALS Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist Job Summary
Works with each division Clinical Manager as well as the Senior Clinical Director to monitor and maintain clinical standards.
Duties and Responsibilities Work collaboratively with the Clinical Director and Mangers to ensure that proper clinical standards are being meet.
Research and review calls as directed.
Monitor assigned QA work-flow data base and generate feedback for field staff.
Work in conjunction with Clinical Managers and Cataldo Education Center to create quartly skill topics for both ALS and BLS certification levels
All documented feedback sent to Clinical Mangers for review prior to issuing.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Job Impact The ALS QA Specialist functions as a member of the Quality Assurance Department and in collaboration with the Operations Division. This position works to maintain clinical excellence through our all divisions of Cataldo Ambulance Service Inc.
Job Authority The ALS QA Specialist reports to the Senior Clinical Director. The ALS QA Specialist may not issue written reprimands and/or corrective action, that will be completed by the Director or Clinical Manager.
Qualifications
The ALS QA Specialist must be fully certified as a Paramedic and also have certification in CPR, with PEARS (or equivalent) preferred. Must be in good clinical standing with Cataldo Ambulance as well as OEMS. Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Must have minimum of two years’ ALS experience with previous supervisor/management experience preferred. Prior educational experience preferred. The ALS QA Specialist must have excellent communication and clinical skills.
