Chief Executive Officer
Philadelphia, PA, United States
In its next CEO, Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania
(Easterseals SEPA) seeks the fearlessness of an entrepreneur, the
operational gravitas of an administrator, and the hustle of a
frontline fundraiser. All this, along with a strong bias toward
action, will be necessary to catapult the organization forward and
set it on a course of sustainable financial health.
Founded in 1933 and headquartered in Philadelphia, Easterseals
SEPA is one of 69 Easterseals affiliates, serving roughly 7,000
individuals and families annually in Bucks, Chester, Delaware,
Philadelphia, Montgomery, North Hampton, Berks, and Lehigh
counties. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will have
responsibility for more than 230 employees and an annual budget of
approximately $19 million.
The next CEO will be a highly visible and inspiring advocate for
the organization and the many communities it serves. She or he will
lead the creation of a new strategic plan, determine a pathway
toward financial stability, mobilize $3M annually in private
support, optimize operations, increase the organization’s
visibility in the region, and lead and empower a high achieving
team.
Finally, she or he will be a mission-driven, proven, and
creative leader; unwavering in their lived commitment to the
dignity of all human beings and dedicated to improving the lives of
those with special needs and disabilities. They will also be
experienced in translating grand vision into strategy and
measurable action; a thought partner to boards; a writer and public
speaker capable of elegantly communicating with all audiences; and
have a lengthy record of effective administrative management,
navigating complexity and hardship with financial acumen.
Lionel Anderson and Bill Borkovitz of JM Search have been
retained to assist in this recruitment. All applications,
inquiries, and nominations, which will remain confidential, should
