The Pediatric Dental Assistant provides the Pediatric Dentist with assistance in the delivery of dental care and service in order to achieve the best possible treatment for the patient.
+ The specialty dental assistant must be proficient with pediatric or general assisting (pediatric experience preferred).
+ Perform all dental procedures permitted consistent with the applicable state laws and regulations.
+ Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment and materials for all dental procedures, while maintaining a good report with children and parents.
+ Proficient with Prophy, SDF, Sealants, matrix band placement, topical anesthesia and protective restorations.
+ Assist with hospital cases including management of patients, anesthesia preparation, assisting and medical emergencies.
**Job Qualifications**
Sealant certificate required or willing to obtain.
