The national physical security team (internally called Forte) is in searchof a multi-talented security director for our world headquarters in Denver.Forte is a close-knit, agile team that thinks creatively to solve complexproblems.
World HQ (Casa Campus) Security Director is a unique position which willmanage a well-established, local security team, while building outnational risk assessment and response capabilities. The right candidate willpossess a robust executive presence, a storied background in riskassessment, and an empathetic outlook towards patients and caregivers.
Essential FunctionsSupervise security operations and a contracted staff of security officers inthe corporate campus HQ in downtown Denver, CODeliver high quality security services focused on protecting people,property, and information while delivering unparalleled customer serviceBuild, improve, and maintain effective relationships with management,employees, vendors, and law enforcement partnersProvide empathetic support to national risk assessment and threat managementprogramsDeliver geographically diverse Executive support services on an as neededbasis
Additional ResponsibilitiesMeet all operational, reporting, budget, and contract compliance requirementsLiaise with law enforcement and cultivate sustainable relationships withindustry experts. Have or be able to develop and maintain relationships withLower Downton stakeholders: Regional Transit Department, Denver PD, andFederal Law Enforcement.Handle escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriatelyMaintain operational procedures for emergency reference by security staffManage highly sensitive and urgent threat of violence concerns, andeffectively assess risk of violence utilizing industry standards, acceptedbehavioral threat assessment, and management methodologies to mitigate threatsDeploy for urgent Executive support or complex investigations and on-sitesupport
QualificationsBachelor's degreePossess or obtain Certified Threat Manager (CTM), Certified ProtectionProfessional (CPP), or higher certification5+ years of business management/operations/supervisory experience withbudget accountability5+ years of behavioral threat assessment and violence management ormitigation, security, threat investigations, or related experienceTravel domestically/internationally up to 25% of the timePrevious leadership role in military, foreign service, or law enforcementExperience in incident management, threat management, corporateinvestigations, law enforcement investigations, crisis management, orrelated fieldExtensive experience working directly with C-Suite executives, electedofficials, or political appointeesIndirectly influence adjacent teams to accomplish enterprise goalsAbility to work independently, in a team-oriented management environment,and with an entrepreneurial attitudePreferred graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FederalLEO)
