We are currently hiring for a Building Enclosure - Project Manager on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Atlanta. Join a Global full service engineering firm with over 80 years of industry experience, The firm is home to specialists whose expertise spans across a diverse collection of services including Structural Engineering, Leak/Condition Assessments, Roofing & Waterproofing, Parking Garages, Rope Access, New construction, and more. Join them on their pursuit of excellence and lead the industry as a team.
Due to their high standard of project delivery, they have won several large repair and restoration projects in Atlanta and are looking to hire a Engineer/Architect who specializes in existing building enclosures.
As a building enclosure project manager you will be responsible for overseeing a wide variety of building enclosure repair/restoration projects. You will work to design repairs for building enclosures. As a building enclosure - project manager based at the Atlanta office, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to diagnose and restore building enclosures.
Responsibilities
Lead projects with team of internal consultants
Assist Senior Project Managers with project tasks
Perform project management duties
Facilitate client meetings
Prepare technical presentations for client meetings
Prepare proposals for new project pursuits
Review enclosure details and specifications prepared by other consultants
Work closely with architects and contractors to develop high performance details
Research building codes and industry standards
Write assessment reports
Perform field investigations, including water leakage, non-destructive testing, travel required
Perform modelling of enclosure assemblies using different software
Analyze proposed repair/design options
Design and draft repair drawings and details
Prepare construction documents such as repair drawings and specifications
Observe construction and installation of repairs/designs in the field, including quality assurance testing
Prepare site visit reports and meeting minutes
Interact with project clients, sub-consultants, and repair contractors
Requirements
5-10+ years experience in building enclosure design, review, and assessments
PE or RA licensure
M.S in relevant field (preferred)
RRO/RRC/RWC (preferred)
Experience in building enclosure design, repair, and retrofit
Experience with exterior wall, below-grade waterproofing, and roofing assemblies.
Understanding of building science and thermal analysis, modelling building performance and sustainability.
Excellent customer service.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
