**Business Strategy Planning Director/Chief of Staff-Carelon**
**Location:** This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Must reside within 50 miles/1 hour commute of an Elevance Health location.

The **Business Strategy Planning Director/Chief of Staff** is responsible for strategic planning and customer insight work. This role will also act as a crucial support system for the Carelon CIO, helping to propel the organization's strategic and operational plans and drive the company's initiatives and overarching strategies.
**How you will make an impact:**
+ Understands all aspects of the business and partners with executive leadership to define strategy and successful criteria for the future.
+ Supports definition of organization’s priorities.
+ Translates strategy into defined tactics, programs/projects priorities, and timelines and ensures alignment and attainment of enterprises strategic plans to turn strategy into reality.
+ Documents strategic priorities such as external environment and reports on customer insight research initiatives.
+ Helps define clear success measures and ongoing performance monitoring.
+ Builds and leverages relationships to provide innovative solutions to complex business problems.
+ Proposes opportunities to improve results based on continuous needs assessment.
+ Responsible for the development implementation and monitoring of line of business planning and project activities.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of related experience including prior leadership experience and 3 to 5 year strategic planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
**Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:**
+ Master’s degree preferred.
+ Technology and Chief of Staff experience preferred.
+ Strategic and innovative thinker and self-starter with the ability to operate with a great degree of discretion and resourcefulness to execute on business goals.
+ Excellent written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties.
+ Proven experience in project execution, project management, and process improvement.
+ Experience interacting effectively and positively with senior management, provide thought leadership, and adept at influencing decision-making.
+ Demonstrated leadership skills to identify opportunities, bring teams together, and help implement solutions.
+ Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $132,400 to $250,236.
Locations: California; Colorado; District of Columbia (aka Washington, DC); Jersey City, NJ; Nevada, New York, Washington State
