JOB DESCRIPTION
System Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the ERP and Oracle Database systems, as well as the Citrix and application distribution platforms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage and maintain ERP and Oracle Database systems.
Manage and maintain Citrix and application distribution platforms.
Secure company data and documents.
Plan, test, and maintain disaster recovery and backup plans.
Provide technical support and training to end-users, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues.
Work closely with vendors on development and resolving issues.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify and suggest the use of new emerging technologies.
Travel as required to provide plant level support and for new initiatives.
Provide technical consultation in new systems development, evaluations, and enhancement of existing systems.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Off hours support for urgent issues.
Has food safety responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
BS degree or equivalent in computer science
EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years hands-on technical experience
Understanding of OPC-UA and integration
Oracle system administration
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
EQUIPMENT USED:
Laptop, Citrix Devices, printers, scanners
CONTACTS:
Co-Presidents, Executive Staff, Department heads, vendors, consultants, outside support, company employees.
SUPERVISION/BACKUP:
Reports to Director of Information Technology
Requirements
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
BS degree or equivalent in Computer Science.
EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years of hands-on technical experience with Windows, Linux and Cisco IOS
Must have good working knowledge and the use of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and LDAP
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Quick learner and prioritization skills
Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel while maintaining quality
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
This position will be required to work with teams across the organization
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Pushing or Pulling (60+ lbs. typically 0-15% of the day) - boxes, printers, computers/monitors
Lifting or Carrying (0-35 lbs. typically 0-15% of the day) - boxes, printers
Fine Manipulating (typically over 70% of the day) - typing
EQUIPMENT USED:
Mini-computer, personal computer, screwdriver, hammer, chip pullers
