Project Coordinator

As the Project Coordinator, you will serve as the supply chain manager, responsible for developing and integrating a cohesive supply chain to support local business operations. Your role includes overseeing, guiding, managing, and integrating supply chain operations across the organization, as well as planning and coordinating with fiscal, acquisition, clinical, and administrative operations and facilities.

This position is based in Chicago, IL and requires in-person attendance.

Responsibilities:

Operationalize performance and measurement of functions for all aspects of the supply chain, including requirements determination, acquisition planning/coordination/oversight, purchasing, transportation, distribution, tracking, inventory management/control, reconciliation of undelivered orders, and disposition of supplies and equipment.

Integrate acquisitions, procurement, related support, and services for the supply chain, subcontractor and capital equipment, inventory management, storage, and distribution operations as a Project Coordinator.

Review complex and novel supply chain management issues, developing new methods, processes, or techniques.

Plan and coordinate new program requirements; develop plans and proposals for internal and external projects and services.

Recommend policy, procedures, and methods to best meet the needs of delivering and managing environmental monitoring hardware and software; plan and conduct long-range (5-10 years) studies and forecasts, making recommendations for long-term policy and programs based on these studies.

Ensure integration and alignment of acquisition, delivery, and management of supplies, equipment, and services for successful delivery of products and services.

Support coordination and integration of technology and/or implementation of new supply/equipment requirements.

Perform broad and comprehensive formal studies of benefits, impacts, characteristics, and problems.

Analyze the supply chain, developing actions based on analysis results, metrics, quality assurance/compliance, operating practices, and reporting within the corporate system.

Implement and monitor current systems and deployment of subcontractor supplies and services.

Conduct audits, compliance reviews, and program effectiveness/efficiency reviews of all activities to ensure satisfactory levels of service and compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, directives, and procedures.

Develop training and test evaluation programs and curriculum to enhance skills and abilities of subordinate staff.

Plan, develop, and adapt supply chain management procedures for globally sourced inventory.

Review requisitions to ensure proper utilization of company property, screening for appropriate use of mandatory sources of supply, appropriate vendors, use of item master file, appropriate classification, determination of appropriate funding codes, inventory of controlled substances, inventory validations, providing required separation of duties within the supply chain, and related property management responsibilities; account for funds used to requisition company and private industry property.

Account for and oversee acquisition, management, and distribution of environmental monitoring and computer information system supplies, facility maintenance supplies and services, subsistence, sensitive equipment, and provisions of equipment and services for both assigned projects and personnel.

Monitor progress towards meeting plans, identify causes and impacts of delays or other problems related to overall execution of plans, and adjust plans and schedules to mitigate those impacts.

Leverage life cycle management practices to ensure efficient allocation of resources for assets throughout their entire lifecycle.

Conduct strategic planning and quality management of equipment and leasing programs; assist with oversight of procurement package assembly, submission to other electronic databases, and coordination with Contracting and the Chief Financial Officer.

Assist in managing multi-million-dollar budgets for staff training, expendable supplies, equipment, assigned staff salaries, special projects, subsistence, sensitive equipment, and provisions of equipment and services for both assigned projects and personnel.

Execute administration and personnel management responsibilities.

Requirements

Required Experience:

Specialized experience is defined as serving as a supply chain management leader/supervisor, responsible for ensuring the logistical requirements of an organization are met; planning/coordinating and evaluating various operations to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of a logistics program. Areas of knowledge and skill should include acquisition management, purchasing, transportation, distribution, inventory management and control, expendable and non-expendable equipment, and warehouse operations; experience assisting with budget formulation and forecasting of expenditures. At this level, candidates should possess experience in overseeing and managing a group with a variety of occupations and subordinate supervisors.
