Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Some Saturday rotation required. Hours may change based on the needs of the bank.
Parkway Bank is looking for a Desktop Engineer at our Harwood Heights, IL location. The Desktop Engineer’s primary responsibility is providing End-User technical support. The role supports all install, upgrade, troubleshooting hardware and software on desktop PCs, laptop, iPads, and VPN solution. This includes assisting with Active Directory, peripherals, and phone system. The Desktop Engineer also supports the IT Helpdesk and provides support with system backups and participates in IT Team projects and IT audits. The position qualifications are as follows:
Configure and setup of desktops/laptops/iPads, phones, printers/scanners/fax machines
Coordinate and conduct installations, moves, add, changes of employee and business equipment
Provide technical support for onsite and remote End-Users
Address end-user help desk tickets regarding hardware, software and networking
Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
Set-up /remove user accounts on systems (network, email, phone, security)
Test and deploy laptop and PC imaging
Troubleshoot PC hardware and software problems
Manage Windows desktop environment
Set up Beyond Trust access and equipment for auditors
Install applications per company standards and business requirements
Assist with storage backup and recovery utilizing Commvault and monitor backup operations
Set up technical requests for conference room usage and collaboration tools
Support/assist on IT Team problems and projects
Manage IT hardware disposal
Participate in the maintenance and testing of the Disaster Recovery infrastructure
Assist in maintaining required technical documentation
Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer or similar role
Hands-on experience with Windows and Microsoft Office environments
Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners
Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs
Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
Customer-oriented attitude
BSc in Computer Science or relevant field
Commvault experience is a plus
Other related duties as assigned by management.
