We are looking for a VP of Default Operations who will be responsible for the day-to-day direction and the operations and revenue for national default title services operations. Implements operational efficiency improvements which may include, but are not limited to, standardization of systems, quality control, and customer satisfaction. Generally, manages Operations Managers in multiple offices by ensuring daily metrics are implemented. Manage and develop all area title curative operations, quality assurance and exam production of title reports and services. Supervise support staff to ensure performance meets divisional goals, including budgeted targets.
How you'll contribute: Directs and develops the implementation of goals, objectives, and work standards for a Functional Unit without focus on the daily operational activities
Ensures teams and individuals understand roles and responsibilities via clear communication of goals and objectives; Provides feedback, delegates tasks, and identifies subordinate training needs

Initiates and identifies process improvement and problem-solving activities in order to make informed decisions to ensure product is of high quality, low cost, and meets turnaround time service level agreements.
Develops and directs the implementation of policies and procedures that comply with regulatory and statutory guidelines, rules, and standards
Plans, organizes, administers, reviews, and evaluates the activities of professional, technical, and office support staff through subordinate managers and supervisors
Contributes to the overall quality of the Functional unit by developing work teams and by reviewing, recommending, and implementing improved policies and procedures
Ability to meet client expectations and have departmental teams achieve all required Service Level Agreements
Confers with Executive Management regarding departmental requirements and solutions; facilitates the resolution of problems and the development of new initiatives to support business segments
Authorizes projects, sets priorities, approves designs, and cost estimates for projects
Who you are: Responsible for 2-3 business units or leadership responsibility for an emerging group
Detailed knowledge of Company allows for innovative concepts and promoting new ideas
Recognized as a team builder
Well organized and able to communicate effectively with all levels of management
Strong experience and knowledge of national title operations, residential title insurance products and services
Good working knowledge of the mortgage servicing and default mortgage services and systems
Experienced with client presentations and leading quarterly client meetings at the executive level
Establishes, understands, and consistently meets deadlines
Demonstrated excellent Customer Service skills
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Demonstrated competency in creating and executing on operational plans
Proven track record of leading medium to large teams
Demonstrated success with meeting the needs of a wide range of employees while driving team performance, monitoring results and appropriately allocating resources
A deep understanding of metrics/dashboards that drive an environment and culture of continuous improvement
Progressive experience in leading employees in multiple locations, and significant experience developing and implementing solutions
Possesses strong problem-solving, collaboration, critical thinking, team building, and presentation skills
Results oriented with strong time management and project management skills, and must be highly organized and driven to succeed
Strong leadership skills, leading by example, driving employee commitment through actions, and empowering employees to reach their full potential
8-10 years of management/leadership experience
7+ years working in the title insurance, lending, or real estate industries required
To comply with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location.
For full time hires, the hiring base pay range for this position is between $130,000 and $160,000. Beyond base pay, Blend benefits and perks are described below.
Final base pay offer amounts will vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to function, level, geographic location, job related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay will be adjusted for part-time roles to reflect scheduled hours.
