Role Overview:
Assess donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history interviews, acceptance criteria, physical exams, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
Manage donor adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results.
Follow SOPs for medical emergencies, implement Center Physician's standing orders, and arrange donor transport to emergency facilities.
Consult Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on unacceptable findings, medical or technical issues, donor safety, and eligibility.
Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
Manage employee incidents, determine if further evaluation by occupational health/ER is needed, and follow EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.
Serve as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist in investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community as directed by EHS or Medical Affairs.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, including completion of a recognized nursing program meeting state requirements
Current licensure or certification in the assigned state: LPN or LVN
Valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
Completion of state requirements for basic IV therapy (if applicable)
Successful completion of FDA-approved training for Medical Support Specialist
At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
Compensation: Location: USA - WI - Greenfield
U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $25.00 - $34.38
